Gallery: Windows 10 14316 With Lots Of New Features

Windows 10 Dark hero

Earlier today, Microsoft released a new build of Windows 10, 14316 and with it comes a bunch of new features. Knowing that not everyone wants to put a build from the Fast ring on their daily driver, below is a gallery of the new additions to the OS.

Most prominently, the dark theme is now enabled across the entire OS which impacts all the UWP apps. At this time, File Explorer and Edge do not adopt the theme. One of my favorite new features allows you to set your ‘active time’, this prevents Windows from updating during the defined hours and should keep those pesky mandatory restarts from impacting your workflow.

If you have any questions about this release or run into any problems, make sure to let us know. It is still too early to determine if this build is stable but if nothing else, it is the first release in some time that adds a significant number new items to the OS.
