Windows 10 Build 14371 Released, Activation Troubleshooter Announced

14371 hero

We are heading towards the final approach for the Windows 10 Anniversary update that should arrive in about a month to all Windows 10 users. Today, Microsoft is releasing another pre-release build, this time it is version 14371.

In this build, Microsoft is introducing Activation Troubleshooter; as the name suggests, if you are having issues activating your copy of Windows 10, this new tool can help identify the problem. Microsoft says that this feature will help solve the most common problems with activation that are associated with hardware changes.

Also being announced today is the ability to link your Microsoft account to your Windows 10 digital license. If you already use your Microsoft account with your activated copy of Windows 10 Home or Pro, the MSA link will automatically occur. This link feature will make it easier to re-activate a copy of Windows 10 after a hardware change.

Aside from these new activation updates, this build is all about stability and Microsoft has a long list of bugs that have been fixed with this release that you can view here.

We are heading into the final days of Windows 10 Anniversary builds, so don’t expect any overwhelming large updates to the OS as the company locks down and focuses only on stabilization. As always, let us know in the comments if you run into an issue with this release.
