Microsoft Delivers Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14372 for PC and Mobile

The builds keep coming at a rapid clip: Tonight, Microsoft announced the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14372 for both PC and Mobile. This new build comes just two days after it delivered build 14371 for PCs and just one day after build 14371 for Mobile.

And you may be wondering: Why so fast? Why bother release two subsequent builds just days—or less—apart?

“We’re on our way to make the Windows 10 Anniversary Update awesome for ALL of our customers this summer,” Dona Sarkar explains. “The team is busily working on triaging and investigating the top bugs that you sent in. The hustle is pretty real around Redmond right now. As they check in fixes for these bugs into builds, its important for us to get those builds out to you as soon as we can to validate those fixes.”

Sarkar notes that this newer build includes “a handful of fixes to improvement overall performance and reliability.” So, again. No new features: The Anniversary update is feature complete. There is, however, one new Edge extension to test: The Evernote Web Clipper is now available.

There are three known issues for PCs: Networks and VPN connections in the network flyout don’t launch a settings page, that new Evernote Web Clipper extension might not load on certain web sites and there are some visual glitches, and those who enable Developer Mode won’t be able to access the Device Portal.

And there are three known issues for Mobile as well: The backup format, battery life, and Wi-Fi disconnection issues I mentioned previously are still present in this build.

Here comes the finish line.
