Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10 today and it is available for both desktop and mobile users. In this release, the Windows team has smashed a bunch of bugs and is also making it easier to download new builds of Windows 10 with delivery optimization.
The new build of Windows 10, 14915, is live now for those on the Insider Fast ring and you can download it by checking for updates via Windows update. One new feature in this build is that you can now download updates including preview builds, OS updates, and app updates from other PCs on your local network as well as from other PCs on the Internet.
This feature is actually already in Windows 10 build 1511 but was not enabled for grabbing bits from Internet connected devices (it was only working, based on the post, for devices on your network). It is important to know that this feature is turned on by default which means if you only want to download updates from Microsoft, you need to turn this feature off immediately.
Aside from this new delivery optimization update, there is nothing else new (or exciting) in this release; there are quite a few fixes for both mobile and PC, which you can check out here.
As always, let us know if you run into any bugs with this build or find any bits that Microsoft hasn’t announced yet too.
