Microsoft announced today that it has released Windows 11 build 22000.706 to the Release Preview Channel.

This build includes two new features that we can expect to see in Windows 11 ahead of version 22H2:

Improved Family Safety verification. Microsoft says it improved the Family Safety verification experience for a child account when you send a request for additional screen time.

Windows Spotlight on the desktop. Windows Spotlight provides new background pictures daily to your lock screen now, and with this update, the feature will be available on your desktop too. To enable it, navigate to Settings > Personalization > Background > Personalize your background. Then, choose Windows spotlight.

Additionally, build 22000.706 includes numerous fixes, none of which seem dramatic.
