Anyone waiting for the Canary branch of the Windows Insider Program to reveal even a small hint about Windows 12 remains disappointed: Today’s new build only adds one minor change plus two features that previously debuted in Dev.
“Today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25926 to the Canary channel,” the announcement post reads. “As builds released to the Canary Channel are ‘hot off the presses,’ we will offer limited documentation for builds flighted to the Canary Channel including documenting only the most significant and highly impactful known issues.”

There aren’t many.
Build 25926 receives two features that previously debuted in the Dev channel, the new notifications icon in the system tray and new color filter options. And it contains one new feature that’s actually an update to the Snipping Tool app, which will display new buttons to edit in Paint for screenshots and edit in Clipchamp for screen recordings.
Not so interesting.
