Tip: Download the Windows 11 Version 26H2 ISO

Now that the initial stable release of Windows 11 version 26H2 is available, you can grab the ISO files and update your install and recovery media. However you install this release–it’s being deployed through Windows Update as an enablement package (eKB), too, of course–the build number is 26300.9457.

You can download the Windows 11 ISOs from Microsoft’s Download Windows 11 site, as always. There, you will find a direct ISO download and the Media Creation Tool for x64 (AMD/Intel) versions of Windows 11.

Microsoft also has a separate page for Windows 11 on Arm, but that’s only for the ISO: The Media Creation Tool inexplicably still can’t create Windows 11 on Arm installation media. So you can use a third-party tool like Rufus with the downloadable ISO instead.
