Apple is launching a bunch of new promotions outside of the United States as it looks to soften the blow of its revenue shortfall announcement. The company is launching a new Back to University promo for students in Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil.
First, Apple is giving away a free set of Beats3 Solo headphones or Powerbeats 3 headphones with the purchase of an eligible Mac or an iPad Pro. With the purchase of an eligible Mac, including the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook, iMac Pro, iMac, and Mac Pro, you will be able to choose between either a free set of Beats Solo3 or Powerbeats3 headphones. Apple had the same promotion for students in the United Kingdom last year in time for the Back to School season.
You can choose from the Pop collection of the Beats Solo3, too, as part of the deal.
Apple is also offering 20% off AppleCare+ protection plans for students as part of the new promotion. The company is apparently also offering promotions for trade-ins of old devices, according to 9to5Mac.
These deals are all available on top of the existing discounted prices (up to A$290 off Macs in AU, for example) that are available for some of these devices as part of Apple Store’s Education program. And if you are a student in Australia, New Zealand, or Brazil looking to get a new Mac or an iPad, these are honestly some really great deals. It will be interesting to see whether Apple expands the promotions to more countries, considering it’s technically Back to Uni season in most regions.
