iPhone 14 and M2 MacBooks Join Apple’s Self Service Repair Program

Apple is expanding its Self Service Repair program starting tomorrow to add support for the iPhone 14, a couple of M2 Macs, and more devices. Eligible M2 Mac models include the 2022 MacBook Air and the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro models released earlier this year.
Additionally, Self Service Repair will also be available for the True Depth camera and top speaker on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models. The company will also offer repair parts for M1-based Mac Mini and Mac Studio models.

Last but not least, Apple announced that it will make its System Configuration tool easier to use for Self Service Repair users. This tool is used to authenticate genuine Apple parts and apply firmware updates after a repair, and users will no longer be required to contact the Self Service Repair support team to complete the process.
Apple launched its Self Service Repair program back in April 2022 to allow tech enthusiasts to repair their Apple devices on their own. It completes the network of Apple Authorized Service Providers and independent repair providers.
