Apple has just announced that its WWDC 2024 developer conference will be on June 10-14 this year. The online event will start with the traditional opening keynote on Monday, June 10, with a special event at Apple Park for the media, select developers, and students.
WWDC 2024 is where Apple is expected to detail new features coming in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11. Smaller platforms like tvOS and visionOS should also be part of the announcements, and Apple will likely highlight momentum for its Vision Pro headset, the company’s first new product category in years.

Apple still very much remains the iPhone company, so all eyes will be on iOS 18 and the new generative AI features that are reportedly coming to the iPhone later this fall. Even though the company pioneered AI assistants with Siri no less than 13 years ago, Siri has barely evolved in recent years, and Apple has been caught off guard by the generative AI revolution led by ChatGPT maker OpenAI.
While Apple is reportedly working on its own generative AI assistant, the company could also be teaming with Google to integrate the company’s Gemini AI into the iPhone. iOS 18 is expected to be the biggest update to the mobile OS in years, and it could also be the update that finally allows users to freely rearrange app icons on the Home screen.
