As you may recall, Adobe announced Firefly back in March as a responsible—and legally protected—way for creators to use AI in their image creation work. Since then, the firm announced plans to use Firefly AI in video as well, and it expanded access to Firefly to over 100 new languages.

With today’s announcement, Firefly is generally available, so Adobe’s customers are free to use Firefly text-based prompts to create content that is safe for commercial use. Adobe is also giving its many of its paying customers monthly Generative Credits that can be used to generate Firefly-generated content, while Express users will receive a monthly Generative Credits allocation. Additionally, there’s a new all-in-one editor in Express for creating still and video content, PDFs, animations, and more, and this content can be directed at social media channels and other platforms. And a new Firefly web application.

Adobe says that it will be adding new functionality to Firefly regularly going forward as well. You can learn more at the Adobe website.
