Microsoft Opens Registrations for Ignite 2024 on November 19-22

Microsoft Ignite 2024

Microsoft has opened registrations for Ignite 2024, its annual conference for developers and IT pros that will be held in Chicago on November 19-22, with a free digital experience. There will also be an optional pre-day on the afternoon of November 18.

While the session catalog isn’t available yet, Microsoft already published a list of featured speakers. Satya Nadella will be present and will likely appear during the opening keynote, but you can also expect to see Scott Guthrie, EVP of Microsoft’s Cloud + AI Group, and Rajesh Jha, EVP of Experiences + Devices.

Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant was a big focus during last year’s Ignite conference, and the next edition should be no different. The website for the event promises attendees to “experience the latest innovations for AI transformation.”

Before Ignite 2024 kicks off on November 19, Microsoft will be holding two separate digital events in the fall: There’s a Microsoft 365 Copilot: Wave 2 event next week on September 16, which will be followed by a OneDrive & AI event on October 8. The first one will be live-streamed on LinkedIn, and the second one on Microsoft Teams.

With Windows 11 version 24H2 launching later this fall, Microsoft could also be planning another event focusing on the new Windows release and new Surface devices. The company announced the Surface Laptop Studio 2, Surface Laptop Go 3, and Surface Go 4 a year ago, and it’s probably time for the high-end Surface Laptop Studio line to get a “Copilot+ PC” refresh.
