Opera on Friday announced its AI Feature Drops program, which provides Opera One users with early access to new AI features.
“AI is moving fast and so are we,” Opera executive vice president Krystian Kolondra says. “We’ve started the AI Feature Drops Program to allow people to test our newest AI explorations that either will or won’t make it to the official version of Opera One. We are excited to let our most engaged users test and share their feedback and suggestions with us.”

As you may recall, Opera replaced its core web browser offering with Opera One in mid-2023, among other things adding an integrated, native AI capability called Aria. With the AI Features Drop program, Opera is now giving Opera One users the chance to test experimental AI features that will enable “more elaborate browser tasks, enhancing their experiences on the web.” To do so, you need to install Opera Developer for Windows, Mac, or Linux. New features will arrive on a biweekly basis.
“Opera is also excited about its opportunity to bring a true Opera One experience to iOS following the EU Digital Markets Act,” the firm adds.
