Next .NET Conf to Focus on .NET MAUI

Microsoft will host its next .NET Conf virtual conference on August 9, and this one will focus exclusively on .NET MAUI, Microsoft’s new cross-platform developer framework.

“Now that .NET MAUI is released, it’s time to get started building your first cross-platform applications,” Microsoft’s Jon Galloway writes in the announcement post. “We’ve got a lot of exciting things planned for the next few months to help you get started, including a full day .NET Conf Focus event, worldwide Reactor events, and local community event opportunities.”

.NET Conf: Focus on MAUI, as the event is called, is a free, one-day livestream event on August 9 that starts at 12 pm ET/9 am PT. It will feature speakers from Microsoft and the community, and it will teach you how to build native apps for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows using a single codebase with .NET MAUI.

You can learn more at the .NET Conf: Focus on MAUI website. Also, Microsoft is hosting other virtual and in-person events in August, too: check the original blog post for details.

Maybe it`s just me. Why release .Net MAUI when the support in VS Studio is in a preview. Guess 17.3 will release when the conference start.

And Microsoft must sell MAUI hard since there are many viable alternatives like Delphi (C++Builder) FireMonkey, Flutter and UNO.

It has no future, just like .NET core is a complete failure.

Windows App SDK is the new UWP. MAUI is the new Xamarin Forms, and now supports creating apps for Windows and Mac too.
