Audio Quality

Can you guys do anything to brighten the audio on FRD? There is distortion on Paul’s voice on both an HP Spectre x360 and Macbook Pro. It is often clipped and muffled. The audio that was just done on the phone while you were away was so much better than the ‘studio’ setup.

Anything you can do?

Are you listening to the audio feed or video stream?

In reply to Brad Sams:

I noticed it on the most recent video podcast that was posted 6/26/17. I didn't compare it to the audio feed. There's frequently a distinct difference between Paul's audio and yours on the video stream, but it was especially pronounced yesterday.

Sometimes, it is mild clipping distortion and sometimes, very significant.

Sounds like Mic's are too hot going in or the final mix is too hot. I just know that when you are away and only doing those little two minute episodes that you sound fine when you are just using a phone.

I feel like it is a continuous problem with your audio mix when you guys are in your studio locations. Clipped and very dull sounding (dull as in lack of brightness).

FWIW, audio seems fine to me listening to PocketCasts on iOS.
