Xbox Announces More Upcoming FanFest Events Around the World

Xbox Fanfest 2026 tour

The Xbox team is planning to hold various FanFest around the world this year to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary. The first FanFest event in Los Angeles was announced earlier this week, and it will happen right after the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.

“The energy from fans in response to Xbox FanFest coming back to LA has been incredible,” wrote Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming on X. More FanFest events will follow throughout 2026 in Cologne, London, Mexico City, Seattle, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto. And the list isn’t complete yet as the Xbox is planning to announce additional locations.

“Expect in-person experiences that bring the worlds of Xbox to life, with opportunities for players to connect with one another, and with the developers and creators behind your favorite Xbox games,” the Xbox team said today. “Each FanFest event will be unique to the location in which it’s held, celebrating the local Xbox community and the ways they engage with gaming, and the people that make it special.”

Overall, it really looks like Microsoft is trying to make the 25th anniversary of Xbox count for longtime fans of the brand. In recent years, the company has probably alienated a lot of Xbox gamers by cancelling games, abandoning Xbox-exclusive titles, and neglecting its console user base while chasing gamers on other devices, including rival consoles. Fortunately, Asha Sharma quickly killed the controversial “This is an Xbox” marketing campaign that made Xbox consoles look irrelevant, and Microsoft recently said that the exec was personally leading a “reset of how we show up as a brand.”

If you’re interested in attending one of the upcoming Xbox FanFest events around the world, Microsoft is planning to share more information on the FanFest website.
