Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Hades II, and More Are Headed to Game Pass

After revealing 14 upcoming Game Pass games during its Xbox Partner Preview broadcast on March 26, the Xbox team is about to drop a pretty big first wave of new Game Pass titles this month. There are several day-one additions, such as Vampire Crawlers, Replaced, and Kiln from Xbox Game Studios, as well as another Call of Duty game, the Modern Warfare reboot from 2019.

There are currently five Call of Duty games on Game Pass, including Black Ops 7 and 6 episodes, the Modern Warfare III and II episodes, and World War II. The last three are also available on the Game Pass Premium tier, and that will also be the case for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare when it drops on April 17.

Microsoft has been slow to bring older Call of Duty games to Game Pass, and maybe the company would actually prefer subscribers to stick with the latest episode, Black Ops 7. Anyway, maybe we’ll finally see more Activision Blizzard games come to Game Pass later this year when Microsoft celebrates the 25th anniversary of Xbox.

In the meantime, here are all the games that will be coming to Game Pass between today and April 23:

Game Pass Essential (formerly Xbox Live Gold) subscribers are also getting two new games this month: Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and DayZ. Lastly, Ashen, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Grand Theft Auto V, My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery, and Terra Invicta will be leaving the Game Pass library on April 15. GTA V came back to the Game Pass library a year ago, and Microsoft also made it available on PC Game Pass for the first time.
