Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Friends & Family Plan Heads to Six New Countries

Microsoft announced today that the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Friends & Family Plan is now available in six new countries: Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden.

“Beginning today, Xbox players in Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden will be able to join a plan that enables up to five friends and family members to share Game Pass Ultimate benefits,” Microsoft director Enrico Toro writes in the announcement post. “These countries will join the players participating in the plan in Colombia and Ireland.”

The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Friends & Family Plan lets members add up to four additional people to their subscription so that each can play Xbox Game Pass titles and stream Xbox Cloud Gaming titles from the cloud. Each additional person must reside in the same country as the original member.

Those who have an existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and wish to join the Friends & Family Plan will have remaining time on their subscription converted, based on the value of the previous subscription. For example, 30 days of Ultimate will be converted to 18 days of the Friends & Family Plan. This conversion is only available to the original member of the plan.

Microsoft launched the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan in Columbia and Ireland in September 2022. This is its first expansion since then.
