Google has started sending media invites for a Pixel event that will take place in New York City on August 12, 2026 (via 9to5Google). The event will kick off at 6 PM ET, and Google teased “the next generation of Pixel” in the invite, which also hints at a new gold finish for the Pixel 11.
Presumably, the Pixel 11 series will also include a Pixel 11 Pro and a Pixel 11 Pro XL, as well as a foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. An entry-level Pixel 11a will likely follow in early 2027 if Google sticks with its usual release schedule.
Google may also reveal a new version of its Pixel Watch during the event, as the Pixel Watch 4 was announced back in August 2025. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also almost two years old, and Google’s latest earbuds, the entry-level Pixel Buds 2a, were released in October of last year.
After Apple recently announced price increases for most of its products except the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, it will be interesting to see if the Pixel 11 series ends up being more expensive than the previous generation. Pixel devices are still quite niche, and it may well be more difficult for Google to negotiate memory and storage prices compared to its competitors.
