Report: iOS 19 to Sync Captive Wi-Fi Login Details Across Apple Devices

iOS 19 Captive Wi-Fi Network

iOS 19 may come with a new feature that simplifies using captive Wi-Fi networks across Apple devices. In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed that iOS will soon be able to sync login details for public Wi-Fi networks so users only have to go through a sometimes cumbersome login process once.

“When you go to a new hotel, office building or gym, you’re often asked to fill out a web form on all your devices before you can access the internet. This new feature will let you enter that information on one device and have it synched to your other products,” Gurman explained.

According to Gurman, the new syncing feature will work across iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The reporter also expects iOS 19 to add a new live translation feature for AirPods and an updated Health app with an AI-powered coach. The annual release may also introduce redesigned icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons, making it one of the company’s biggest design refreshes in years.

Following the delay of Siri’s generative AI revamp and a general lack of enthusiasm for current Apple Intelligence features, the company’s WWDC25 developer conference, which will kick off on June 19, should be quite special this year. While Apple should definitely avoid promoting features before they’re ready, the iPhone maker also needs to get consumers excited for what could be a pricier iPhone 17 lineup due to the ongoing US/China tariff war.
