Mozilla Releases Preview of New Firefox Browser for Android Devices

In April, Mozilla announced that it will only be releasing minor updates for Firefox on Android till it’s new browser is ready. The company’s new browser, previously known as Fenix, is releasing in a preview today.

Mozilla is launching Firefox Preview this week, and it’s eventually going to replace the classic Firefox on Android devices. Mozilla’s focus seems to be mainly on the performance of the new browser, with an improved interface that makes it easier to use the browser. The classic Firefox browser was essentially neglected for a little while and Mozilla decided to reset the entire browser and working on something new to overcome the problems instead of working on improving the existing browser.

Built on GeckoView, this is our fastest Android browser yet. We’ve turned up the volume on everything you expect from Firefox: ease of use, safety, choice, control and privacy.” the company said.

Firefox Preview is available through the Google Play Store, but you have to sign-up for the testing program here first. Once you are signed up, you should be able to get the new Firefox Preview browser from the Play Store here.
