Faced with the usual series of leaks, some self-imposed, Google has posted a teaser video for the Pixel 8 series smartphones that it will launch on October 4. Google had previously announced that event, but this is the first time it’s teased the handsets, which will appear alongside the Pixel Watch 2.
“Save the date,” a Made by Google tweet notes. “Meet Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Made by Google on October 4th at 10am ET.”

The 23-second video shows off the two phones, each in one color only, white for the Pixel 8 Pro and a light pink color for the Pixel 8 that somewhat resembles the rose Pixel Tablet color. It also verifies some leaks that described the changes to each phone’s camera bars.
Separate from this, Google inadvertently leaked a Pixel 8 Pro 360-degree simulator. It’s been taken down, but this also confirmed some leaks and provided us with a peak at the three colors this handset will be offered in: porcelain (white), black, and a pale blue that should appeal to classic VW Bug fans.
