YouTube TV Comes to Amazon Fire TV Devices

Amazon announced today that YouTube TV is now available on its Fire TV devices for the first time.

“We are excited to announce that YouTube TV is officially available on Fire TV devices including Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, all-new Fire TV Cube, Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition Smart TVs and more,” Amazon’s Michael Polin writes. “The YouTube TV app brings 70+ channels of live sports, breaking news, must-see shows and movies from major broadcast and popular cable networks to the big screen.”

The arrival of YouTube TV comes after a thawing of relations between Amazon and Google; the firms announced in April that YouTube was returning to Fire TV as well, and that service finally did reappear on Amazon’s devices in July.

As for YouTube TV, Google’s cord-cutting service has been expanding dramatically around the U.S. since its initial launch and is now available nationwide and on every smart device imaginable. Including, again, Fire TV.

NOPE! I tried to cut the cord with PS Vue. In less than a year, the local channels just disappeared with no explanation and no expected return date. I have been scared and am unwilling to trust another cable competitor.

This is great news for the ever growing community of cord-cutters. Not just that, but (without question) becomes a game changer in the war between Roku and Amazon FireTV.

YouTube TV is perhaps the BEST cord-cutting service in the market, from what I am reading, over at the very popular CordCutters News Facebook page. I believe Hulu may be more popular, but it just seems that users quit that service shortly they start subscribing to, only finding themselves to be happy with YouTube TV.

Forget others, like AT&T TV Now and PS Vue. They did not seem to step up to the competition especially from Hulu Live and YouTube TV. They should've studied and copied their competition's successes and try to integrate into their systems.

People need to understand why YouTube TV is so popular and very successful. It's the same reason why YouTube is so popular and works flawlessly. It's the compression alogorithm. It's that same algorithm that is supposed to take Online Game Streaming by storm as well.

Anyway, do people know how badly Firestick users wanted YTTV? They even went to great lengths to sideload it and tolerate all the nonsense using unsupported apps. Now they have a supported app to use….and I am happy for them.

I'm happy with YTTV. We were disappointed that there was no weather channel though, but it seems that its not on any others' either.

But I found that on the Roku at least I could use the weather channel app and log in as Charter spectrum and use it, even though getting only internet from them. I don't know if this is normal or I was grandfathered in as a former cable subscriber. But I will give praise to Charter for now.

In reply to AtlantaPaul:

This is for YouTube TV not the regular YouTube. There hasn't been a way to watch YouTube TV on the Fire TV devices until now.

In any case, I found that on the Roku at any rate I could utilize the climate direct application and sign in as Charter range and use it, despite the fact that getting just web from them. I don't have the foggiest idea whether this is ordinary or I was grandfathered in as a previous link endorser. However, I will offer acclaim to Charter for the time being. https://cyberflix.biz

Concerning YouTube TV, Google's string cutting assistance has been extending significantly around the U.S. since its underlying dispatch and is presently accessible across the nation and on each brilliant gadget possible. Counting, once more, Fire TV. https://morpheustv.info
