Microsoft to Hold .NET Conf 2026 in November

As usual, Microsoft will hold its virtual .NET Conf in November this year, where it will launch .NET 11.

“It’s that time of year again: .NET Conf is back November 10-12, 2026,” Microsoft’s Jon Galloway writes. “We’ll spend three days learning from the people who build and use .NET, catching up with the community, and launching .NET 11. The event is free and online, so mark your calendar and join us from wherever you are.”

Microsoft has been working on .NET 11 all year, and the schedule is the same as it’s been since the switch from .NET Core to .NET, with several pre-release builds over the course of the year and an early November release to stable. Some of the bigger updates this year include C# 15 union types, the move to CoreCLR for .NET MAUI apps on Android, iOS, and Mac Catalyst, async validation for minimal APIs, and the MCP C# SDK, which recently shipped in 2.0 form with a stateless-by-default protocol.

There’s no schedule yet, but I’ll post that when it arrives. And it’s fair to say that this is one of my favorite conferences of the year, despite it being fully virtual. I’m looking forward to it as always.
