Windows Insider Beta Channel Gets a Bug Fixing Update

Windows 11 PC

Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 build 22635.3139 for Insiders on the Beta Channel. This is a small bug-fixing update for testers who have turned on the Windows Update toggle to receive the latest fixes as soon as they’re available.

The release notes for today’s build 22635.3139 mention a vague “handful of fixes to improve overall reliability”, but there are two more specific items: Microsoft fixed a bug in Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe) that was impacting some Insiders in last week’s Beta build 22635.3130. Additionally, the team fixed an issue impacting Task Manager reliability in recent builds.

Last week, the Beta Channel received a bigger update with suggestions in Snap Layouts, as well as a new settings experience for the Widgets board. Microsoft also added an option to unenroll a device from the Beta Channel and install the production version of Windows 11 version 23H2 without losing any personal data.

This is the first new Windows 11 Insider flight of the week, and maybe the team will be releasing builds for other channels tomorrow. Last week, the biggest changes came to the Canary channel with the expansion of the previously Surface-exclusive Voice Clarity AI feature, as well as a a new Copilot shortcut at the right side of the system tray area of the taskbar.
