Windows 11 24H2 Build 26100 is Out on the Canary and Dev Channels

Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 24H2 build 26100 for Insiders on the Canary and Dev Channels. If last week’s build 26090 expanded the availability of Widgets board improvements Microsoft started testing in mid-February, today’s flight is a minor update with only bug fixes.

This new Windows 11 24H2 build 26100 brings a fix for an issue causing shutdown and hibernate to not work in the latest builds, and it should also get rid of the “error 0x80240067” messages that some Insiders have been seeing when trying to download Microsoft Store app updates or Windows updates. Moreover, Microsoft fixed an issue that was preventing Insiders from bringing focus to the “…” or refresh buttons within the Copilot application window when using a keyboard.

The Windows Insider team also said that it’s still investigating why some Insiders are stuck on the builds 26040 or 23620. As of today, the only workaround is to do a clean install of a more recent build using the available ISOs.

While Microsoft is not done working on Windows 11 version 24H2, the next version of the OS that will ship later this fall, the Canary channel will soon move back to more unstable builds. And the Windows Insider team reiterated today that the window to switch from the Canary to the Dev Channel will be closed soon.
