Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.994 for Insiders on the Release Preview Channel testing the latest version of the OS. This update shipped to the public this week on the first Qualcomm-powered Copilot+ PCs, but Microsoft is still testing it with Insiders on the Dev and Release Preview Channels.
For Insiders on the Release Preview ring, Windows 11 version 24H2 is currently available via the “seeker” experience in Windows Update. Earlier this month, Microsoft temporarily paused the rollout of the update on the Release Preview Channel to remove the Recall AI feature that has now been delayed. The rollout was then resumed on June 15 with the build 26100.863.

With today’s build 26100.994 (KB5039304), Microsoft is fixing the following issues in Windows 11 version 24H2:
- This update addresses an issue that affects Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC). It fails to verify the policies of some apps.
- This update addresses an issue that affects WDAC. It reports a certain class of its policies as not active or not authorized.
- This update addresses an issue that might cause DWM.exe to stop responding.
- This update brings Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
- This update addresses an issue that affects Unified Write Filter (UWF). Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) API calls to shut down or restart a system throws an access denied exception.
- This update addresses an issue believed to be the underlying cause of some Insiders noticing stutters in some animations recently (dropping frames), particularly with Task View.
If you missed it yesterday, Microsoft also started rolling out the new Copilot app to Windows 11 and Windows 10 Insiders on the Beta and Release Preview Channels. The new Copilot on Windows experience, which is also available on Windows 11 version 24H2, works as a regular Windows app that can be resized and pinned to the taskbar.
