Microsoft is once again wrapping up the week with two new Windows 11 preview builds for Insiders on the Dev and Beta Channels. The Dev Build 26120.2122 and the Beta build 22635.4367 follow the release of the Canary build 27723 earlier this week.
The Dev build 26120.2122 brings two minor changes to the taskbar. The previews that show when you mouse-over/hover over apps on the taskbar have been redesigned, and Insiders will also notice improved animations when these previews show on the taskbar.
There are two additional changes for the Task Manager: The design of the Disconnect and Logoff dialogs now support dark mode and text scaling, and the Performance section of the app now labels listed disks with their type.
Let’s move on to the Beta build 22635.4367: This one is also a minor update, and it only brings the ability to share with apps directly through the context menu in File Explorer or on the desktop. However, this only works for apps that support sharing in Windows, such as Outlook, Phone Link, or WhatsApp.
Microsoft previously said that Windows Insiders on Copilot+ PCs would be able to test a redesigned and more secure version of the AI-powered Recall feature in October. Unfortunately, there’s still no update on that front.
