The popular note-taking and productivity app Notion is now available to download from the Microsoft Store on Windows PCs. Microsoft announced the app’s upcoming availability on the Store last week during its Build developer conference, highlighting it as another sign of the digital storefront getting more momentum.
In recent months, the Microsoft Store welcomed some high-profile apps including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Fantastical. According to Microsoft, its Store now has over 250 million monthly active users and is the “largest app marketplace on Windows.”
“We’re dedicated to meeting teams no matter where they work. That’s why I’m excited to bring Notion to the Microsoft Store on Windows and make it simpler for even more people to do their best work in Notion,” said Akshay Kothari, Notion’s cofounder in the announcement.
For those unfamiliar, Notion is much more than a simple note-taking app as it lets users create collaborative documents and wikis, manage projects, create forms, and even publish websites. The app also offers integrations with various third-party apps like Slack and GitHub.
Microsoft tried to compete with Notion with Microsoft Loop, but the component-based collaborative productivity solution isn’t evolving as fast and doesn’t seem to get a lot of traction. Notion, however, recently added new mail and calendar features and seems poised to become an all-in-one productivity suite. The app also recently added Notion AI connectors for Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Notion is free to use for individual users, but there are paid plans for enterprise users with more features such as Enterprise search and AI meeting notes. You can download Notion from the Microsoft Store using this link.
