Microsoft has just released the June 2026 Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 versions 25H2, 24H2, and 26H1. The latter is exclusively available on new PCs powered by ARM chips from Qualcomm, and soon, Nvidia.
The main new feature that will roll out gradually to Windows 11 users is shared audio, which will allow two users to listen to the same audio from a single PC at the same time. However, it requires devices that support Bluetooth LE audio broadcast technology. The update also allows multiple apps to simultaneously access the camera stream.
You can find below the main new features that will gradually roll out to users installing the KB5094126 update for Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 24H2:
Shared audio: This new feature allows two people with Bluetooth LE audio accessories to listen to the same audio together. It can be enabled from the Quick Settings panel from the taskbar.
NPU usage in Task Manager: On Windows 11 PCs with NPUs, Task Manager now offers optional NPU and NPU Engine columns on the Processes, Users, and Details pages, along with NPU Dedicated Memory and NPU Shared Memory optional columns on the Details page.
Multi-App Camera support: It’s now possible for multiple Windows apps to access your camera stream at the same time.
Magnifier improvements: The accessibility feature now provides clearer and more consistent announcements when working with a screen reader, and it also supports magnification of permitted protected content.
User folder name choice: Windows 11 users can now choose a custom name for user folders on the Device Name page during Windows setup.
Windows Search improvements: Windows Search will now be able to find local files when you enter as few as two characters.
Performance improvements: This update speeds up app launches and core shell experiences such as Start menu, Search, and Action Center. This is thanks to the new “Low Latency Profile” that briefly boosts CPU speeds to accelerate various background processes.
Today’s update also includes an important fix for a BitLocker security bypass vulnerability (CVE‑2026‑45585) that could allow attackers to bypass BitLocker Device Encryption using the Windows Recovery Environment. While this “YellowKey” vulnerability has been publicly disclosed, Microsoft says that it’s not being actively exploited yet.
In case you’re wondering, the KB5095051 patch for Windows 11 version 26H1 adds support for shared audio over Bluetooth LE, but it mostly brings features from last month’s Patch Tuesday update for the versions 25H2 and 24H2 of the OS. That includes the new Xbox mode and Drop tray features, AI agents on the taskbar, and support for more archiving formats in File Explorer.
