Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10565 Heads to Slow Ring

Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10565 Heads to Slow Ring

Well, it looks like Microsoft isn’t done with the “firsts” associated with Windows 10 build 10565: In addition to the first-ever release of a post-RTM Windows 10 build on ISO, Microsoft is now issuing its first-ever post-RTM build of Windows 10 to Windows Insiders on the Slow ring.

Will wonders never cease?

“We have rolled out Build 10565 to Windows Insiders in the Slow ring,” a simple Microsoft statement notes.

Microsoft originally released Windows 10 build 10565 for PCs to Windows Insiders on the Fast ring on Monday, adding a number of new features which I had previously previewed in leaked builds. As important, it significantly changed how Windows 10 upgrade activations work.

Then, on Thursday, it took the rare step of issuing the build in ISO format, something it hadn’t done since Windows 10 was finalized. And now today, Slow ring testers can install build 10565, a signal that Microsoft feels confident in the quality of this release.

Additionally, Microsoft separately announced that all Language Packs for build 10565 are now available, including Language Packs for Russia and Turkey. When it originally announced build 10565’s Fast ring release on Monday, Microsoft had said that these Language Packs wouldn’t be available until later this week. So promise kept.

If you are for some reason testing future Windows 10 functionality on the Slow ring, head on over to Windows Update and get busy. This build is a good one, and it has significant improvements over the Windows 10 RTM build you were using.
