12 Days of Deals, Day 1: Up to $1000 Off Select PCs

As promised last week, Microsoft has started its annual 12 Days of Deals promotion with a huge sale on PCs: You can get up to $1000 off select PCs, with sale pricing starting at just $199.

“With powerful Intel processors available in a wide range of devices – from laptops and tablets to desktops and phones – you can strike the perfect balance between affordability and function,” Microsoft explains. “Best of all, with free shipping and free returns on every item, every day, regardless of which device you choose, at the Microsoft Store, it’s easy to shop with confidence.”

Note: I assume there are restrictions since this is the Microsoft Store, and that this deal is only open to U.S. customers, or perhaps those from U.S. and Canada. I don’t see any notation about this on the site, however.

There are a ton of PCs for sale in today’s deal. So check the Microsoft Store website for the full list.

That said, looking at the list for PCs I’d actually recommend, I see some very interesting choices.

For example, there are three versions of the previous generation HP Spectre x360 for sale. These include:

• HP Spectre x360 13-4193nr Signature Edition – Core i7, 8 GB/256 GB/13.3-inch Full HD for $949.99, a savings of $200
• HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-4197ms Signature Edition in black and copper – Core i7, 8 GB/256 GB, 13.3-inch WQHD for $1099, a savings of $151
• HP Spectre x360 13-4196ms Signature Edition in black and copper – Core i7, 16 GB/512 GB, 13.3-inch WQHD for $1199, a savings of $201.

I’d also look at the HP Pavilion Wave 600-a001 Signature Edition Desktop, which is just $599, a savings of $80; the ASUS ZenBook UX305CA-UHM4T Signature Edition Laptop for $200 off at $599.00; and the HP OMEN 870-181 Signature Edition Desktop, which is $1449, a savings of $100.
