Stardock Releases Groupy 2

Stardock Groupy 2

Stardock today released Groupy 2, which brings tabs to all application windows in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

“After releasing our first beta of Groupy 2, we have been listening to our users and adding new features like the ability to hide the Groupy icon in the tab bar and enabling the mica effect in more locations,” Stardock’s Brad Sams says. “Groupy 2 is the easiest way to organize the windows on your desktop and has become an essential part of the modern desktop experience.”

Groupy 2 is the realization of the Sets feature that Microsoft planned for Windows 10 but then canceled due to technical difficulties. But it also goes much further by letting users pin tabs for multiple apps together in the same window. This new version of the app supports Windows 11 (the original was Windows 10 only), too and it lets users pin tabbed apps to the Taskbar so that all of the apps launch at once when selected. It also features a new Accents feature that lets you add colors to each tab.

Groupy 2 costs $9.99 for use on up to five PCs. And it’s launched alongside Groupy 2 for Business, which includes advanced distribution tooling and centralized license administration for easier management and deployment. Groupy 2 is also included with Stardock Object Desktop, which costs $39.99.
