Microsoft Store on the Web Adds Multi-App Install

Microsoft Store on the Web Adds Multi-App Install

The web version of the Microsoft Store quietly added the ability to select and install multiple Windows apps at once. This is similar to how the Windows Package Manager (winget) works, but with a GUI and only using the Store app repository as a source.

There’s no documentation for this new feature that I can find. We were tipped off by Zac at Windows Central, and the Microsoft Store website simply notes that you can now “select and install multiple apps at once.” I don’t see a similar feature in the Microsoft Store app in Windows 11, but I assume that’s coming soon.

This is a neat feature, but I prefer winget as it can install apps from the Store and the web, the latter of which has many more apps. But if the command line isn’t your thing, you can use a GUI front-end to winget like UniGetUI (previously WingetUI).

Still. Worth knowing about.
