Apple Announces New Event to Honor the Best Apps and Games

Apple just sent out invites for a brand new event. The company is hosting an event on December 2nd in New York City, where it will be highlighting the best apps and games of the year.

This is very unusual for Apple. The company usually just announces the best apps and games every year through a press release, but this is the first time it will be holding an event to honor the best of the App Store.

It’s not confirmed whether Apple is going to announce any new products, but CNBC says the company isn’t expected to reveal any new products at the event. Apple usually holds an event in October to announce new hardware, and this year the company was expected to introduce the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, the Apple Tags.

That obviously didn’t happen, but this new event does seem pretty interesting. Apple could potentially announce new games for Apple Arcade at the event, and maybe we could even get some new titles for Apple TV+. Plus, the new Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR are set to go on sale sometime this December, and that might happen on the day of the event.

They should call this the "You aren't paying enough attention to us" event…

This event will ultimately be a "look how diverse our app developers are" event.
