As you may know, Lenovo splits its ThinkPad family of business laptops into several product families, each of which targets a specific part of the market. The L series targets mainstream buyers and is the most affordable ThinkPad product line, while the X series is for business travelers and includes the smallest and post portable ThinkPads.

Each of the new ThinkPad L and X series laptops features a 16:10 aspect ratio display panel, in keeping with more premium ThinkPad models, and select models can be configured with up to 64 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 7, or 4G LTE or 5G broadband cellular connectivity. Most of the new laptops feature Intel Core Ultra processors with Intel vPro—so-called AI PCs, in other words—while two of the L series laptops ship in variants with AMD Ryzen Pro 7030 series processors that lack an NPU (neural processing unit).
