Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Canary Build 27909

Windows 11 PC

Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 Insider build 27909 on the Canary Channel. This is another minor update with no new features and just a couple of fixes to wrap up the week.

With this build, Microsoft fixed an issue causing the battery percentage to be missing from the top of System > Power & Battery in the last few builds. The company also addressed an issue causing “extreme graphical distortion and rendering issues” when using remote desktop on Arm64 PCs.

Moreover, the build 27909 fixes an issue where the Xbox app and other apps wouldn’t launch when administrator protection was enabled. A “high-hitting” crash related to pcasvc.dll crash – a file associated to the Windows Program Compatibility Assistant – in the previous build has also been addressed.

Earlier this week, Microsoft also released the two new builds on the Dev and Beta Channels. An update for the Link to Windows app is also rolling out to Android users with a modernized design, smarter onboarding.
